Designs under the cut!

VRISKA:

Vriska has an extra set of arms that they can retract and extract whenever they please. However, they usually keep those arms hidden.

The long needle she's holding is her trusty sword that she's used since her pirate days. She doesn't use it as much as she used too, but it's good to keep it on her for self defense in case of an emergency.

The marks on thier neck and shoulders aren't tattoos, they're birthmarks.

Good at sewing, as she often would have to fix her coat after getting into epic pirate sword fights. Sara and Vriska are sewing buddies!

It is unknown why they're unable to sleep, but while the rest of the team sleeps they often find themselves wandering around and doing whatever they want.

Artist's note: I based Vriska's design off the fact that I wanted to make her look like a bootleg version of the og Vriska. As in "Hey that's Vriska" but also "That's not VRISKA" if you get what I mean

MALL BINGO:

Trained herself to become resistant to poison (and by "trained" I mean she just ate a bunch of poison until her body became almost immune to it... please don't try this at home.)

Often goes scavenging for items when she's doesn't feel like robbing someone. If she's lucky enough she'll find some good items scattered around because "stupid trainers often leave good shit on the ground for some reason" (due to all the items you can pick up from the ground ingame lmao)

Mal lost her leg in one of her first heists, after she and another pawmi tried stealing from the wrong person at the worst possible time.

The gun she keeps with her wasn't originally hers, it belongs to someone else.

On a more positive note, Mal has plenty of stories and tall tales to share. She learned them from the eldest in her little pawmi group, as they would often tell her stories before going to sleep. Mal will often share those same stories with Peppy Jr and Mykyie Jr.

Can and will bite you. You won't be expecting it. Be warned.

GRUNPILO:

Due to his abundantly long hair, Grunpilo often lets Mal play around with it and style it however she wants.

It is unknown how or why he picked up on puppetry specifically, but it makes him happy so who are we to judge?

Speaking of which, he creates his own puppets by hand, from simple sock puppets to marionettes on strings. The two hand puppets shown are his favorite ones though.

Sometimes he'll be found speaking to them as if they're real.

Not good in social situations or confrontation, so Mal will sometimes have to speak for him. ("EXCUSE ME! He asked for no pickles!" /ref)

EXTREMELY light, very easy to pick up.

Restaurant Owner/Food Critic AU

As Lucifer turned from the bar with a flute of champagne, he nearly bumped directly into the man who'd been standing much too close behind him.

The man was very tall, very slim, had dark features, a nicely tailored suit and a smile that seemed impossibly wide. "You're Mr. Morningstar, are you not? The owner of this establishment?"

Lucifer was still a bit socially anxious, but tried his best to be polite. "Uh, yes. Hello. A-are you enjoying the party?" Charlie had insisted on having a grand opening party (even though it was officially their third month open,) so the local community would feel more welcome and encourage even more good word of mouth.

The man seemed to either not have heard him or was flat out ignoring him when he said, "Pardon me for interrupting your premature celebration, but I thought it only fair to give you a sporting chance as you are new to this game."

"Heya, dad!" Charlie greeted, excusing herself from behind someone to stand by Lucifer's side. "Who's this?"

"Just a sec, hun. Game?"

"Yes!" the well dressed man all but shouted, drawing the attention of onlookers. "You've been playing without an opponent. Which is, as you may have guessed... against the rules."

"Wait." Charlie said, quietly at first but soon her voice was nearly matching the man's volume. "Wait, wait, wait! I recognize that voice! You're The Radio Demon! The food critic! I listen to you while I work! Oh, God, where are my manners? I'm Charlie Morningstar!" And she gave a little wave.

The man's smile curved sincerely at the edges, delight obvious on his face. "Well, now, it's always nice to run into a fan! Pleasure to be meeting you, sweetheart. Quite a pleasure!"

He extended his hand in invitation, which Charlie accepted, and the man kissed it. "Please, call me Alastor."

Lucifer could feel himself getting more and more annoyed as the crowd began to whisper conspicuously. He downed the contents of the flute he'd almost forgotten he was holding, then handed the empty glass to one of his passing workers.

"The...Radio Demon?" Sarcasm and sass laced his tone now, the bit of liquid courage helping loosen up.

"Hmm, unlike your charming daughter, you're a bit slow for someone in the culinary fast lane. And much shorter than I'd pictured."

Oh, it was ON now!

"Oh yeah!? Well you're pretty thin for someone who supposedly likes food! You sure you're as great as you think you are?"

The room collectively gasped before going silent, waiting.

The Radio Demon didn't move at first, standing stock still before his smile began to crumple a bit, revealing much too much gum. It was more of a snear.

"I don't just like food; I love it. If I don't love it, I don't swallow." The phrasing went completely over Lucifer's head but the restaurant came alive with blushes and gossip.

Alastor turned on his well polished heel and strode confidently to the entrance. "I will return tomorrow night with high expectations. Pray you don't disappoint me."

"Oh, you'll swallow, asshole!!!" The proud man called after him while the murmurs grew. "And you'll thank me for the goddamn privilege of swallowing what I give you!!!"

He has a hard time opening up and making new friends. He's loner and in his own head a lot, and being alone doesn't bother him.

He loves going out and trying all the coffee shops in the area, it drains Felix's wallet because he drags him along.

He is very attached to Felix and really protective of him. And is very jealous of anyone who tries to remotely take his attention or time.

He doesn't say what he's thinking half the time, so you think he's not listening/ignoring but he is. So he comes off as cold. He just thinks inside his head a lot before replying. He does not show his emotions on his face in general, and doesn't smile a lot. (except at Felix and Cyrus)

He doesn't like anyone to touch him except Felix.

He has a degree in literature, and is a writer.

Sure! I only have a few points though, as the majority of the story would stay the same.

Firstly I think Meg Giry and Christine (hes trans and he kept his OG name) would still be thick as thieves, though her characterisation would be more true to the books. So a bit spoiled and rowdy but well meaning.

Erik would be envious of their friendship, but as hes protective of the theater and to an extent the younger dancers I doubt he'd be aggressive to her.

Eriks disposition here is closer to Charles Dances portrayal than Gerard Butlers. As he truely feels he has 0 chance (like the probablity of him sucessfully getting someone to look past his features AND be gay with him is low in his opinion). Though he would be fiercely over protective and seethingly jealous when Raoul showed up- (Raouls is chill but would run the risk of outting Christine).

Christine for his part, would likely be jumping all over this sewer dwelling man. From his POV hes given him a ton of attention, skills to advance his career, and i dont think would be put off from the mask or scars at all. Given that he often has to hide his true self out of fear of others reactions too.

Im pretty sure in the orginal story theres a ton of metaphors about Christine comings of age as a young woman but imo im skipping that and just pushing the metaphors moreso in the direction of: sextuality/societal expectations/class privileges and ✨friendship✨.

&Evertime Erik sings to Christine its with a sicknass electric guitar but when he sings to others he uses traditional instruments.

This is to signify how their relationship would be considered out of place & unaccepted in their time period, though never the less it is sick as fuck

we dont always get what we want in life. sadly this is also the case for amides... amides are molecules that look like the above two. with an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom bonding in a specific way. blue ball is Optional. anyways often times in organic synthesis we would reeeeally love to turn things that are attached to that nitrogen into other things. as shown in the above diagram! a more complete reaction scheme is as followed:

this is quite Gobsmacking. so why would this be? we can actually investigate with fairly simple general chemistry knowledge. we have 5 reactions worth discussing here and Allow me to list them all.

Reaction (1) is the main reaction we care about. (2) and (3) are reactions involving the acid TfOH and amines which act as bases. (4) and (5) are reactions involving solid salts dissolving and precipitating. lets list the five reactions and their equilibrium constants here:

the morning of his birthday, i let myself into his apartment (read: break into) with breakfast in hand. i scare the shit out of him but all is forgiven when i present him with a "special bday breakfast for my special bday boy!" i'm terrible in the kitchen, so it's not much (a stack of pancakes with fruit arranged on top in the shape of a smiley face), but sakura seems to enjoy it, which is all that really matters to me. i mindlessly yap about anything and everything, mostly about how i'm excited about his bday, as he eats. he tries one last time to insist that we don't have to do anything big for his bday, but i rly won't hear any of it. sakura deserves to be celebrated!!!!!! i won't let him take that away from me!!!! with a fake pout and a sugary sweet tone, i tell him that it would make me really happy to celebrate his bday. he stops protesting after that, which yay! my win ♡ after he's done eating, i give him a kiss and leave, telling him i'll be back later to pick him up for our date hehe

as for our actual date, it's honestly nothing too crazy! i take him to a cat cafe as a first stop, which sakura cannot understand because i'm allergic to them LOL. i still think they're cute though!!! none of the kitties probably like me very much (they can sense how much i want them to like me), but they loveeee sakura. i snap a whole bunch of pictures because it's just too cute to see him surrounded by them. afterwards, we just walk around window shopping until we get lunch. i made sure to tell the restaurant ahead of time that it was his birthday, so the staff brings out at a complimentary dessert and sing happy bday to him <3 it makes sakura unbearably embarrassed but he's so cute i can't help it really. after lunch, i take us to a botanical garden and we just wander around for a couple hours looking at the plants and flowers. neither of us are well-versed in botany, so it's a lot of me going "oh look how pretty that flower is!" and sakura agreeing with me.

by the time we're done at the botanical garden, the sun is starting to set. i tell sakura that we should grab dinner before we go back to his apartment and he agrees, thinking none of it. but when we step into the restaurant that i've chosen for dinner, sakura's friends pop out of their hiding places with a "surprise!" sakura is totally caught off guard to see everybody there and when he looks at me, there's just a too big smile on my cheeks and a painfully lovesick look in my eyes as i tell him "happy birthday, haruka"

we had a very sudden and shocking death of a resident at work yesterday evening and i’ve been thinking about how so many people say they wouldn’t want their loved ones to be in a home because they worry the staff wouldn’t care or their loved ones wouldn’t be looked after properly.

this lady was so loved that the admin at work had to ring everyone up who wasn’t on the morning shift to let them know before they got to work. when i got there for the afternoon shift there were people in bits. when her family came this evening both staff and the other residents were genuinely in tears. trust me people care and they care a lot

YESS!! congrats on your Lyney! i did know about that and if Lynette dies, she calls out to Lyney 🥺 as a whole, Lyney's voicelines mention Lynette a lot. before diving deeper into them, during the AQ, it almost felt to me like Lyney was a bit cavalier towards Lynette (making the comment about how it's not that interesting to ride the aquabus with Lynette since she doesn't talk).

once I read their stories and voicelines, I realized they're both SO attached to each other--Lyney himself says they're inseparable. which is adorable and makes a lot of sense given their lore. Lyney mentions how without Lynette by his side, he goes into standby mode, which hints at how his outgoing personality is partly for show. he talks about that more in his other voiceline, admitting the real him is not as "outgoing or chatty" as he appears, so i feel he forces this act to protect himself and Lynette.
